Six guarantee schemes of Telangana State
The six guarantee schemes of Telangana, recently launched by the Congress-led government, aim to improve the lives of various sections of the society. These schemes are:
• Mahalakshmi: This scheme provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500 to women, along with a subsidized gas cylinder at Rs 500 and free bus travel on TSRC buses throughout the state.
• Rythu Bharosa: This scheme offers annual financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to farmers and tenant farmers, Rs 12,000 to agricultural laborers, and a Rs 500 bonus per quintal of paddy.
• Gruha Jyothi: Under this scheme, eligible households receive 200 units of free electricity.
• Indiramma Indlu: This scheme provides house sites and Rs 5 lakh for construction of houses to those without their own homes. Additionally, 250 sq yards plots are offered to all Telangana movement fighters.
• Cheyutha: This scheme provides a monthly pension of Rs 4,000 to senior citizens, widows, single women, disabled individuals, beedi workers, toddy tappers, weavers, and others. It also includes Rs 10 lakh insurance coverage under the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme.
• Yuva Vikasam: This scheme, still under development, aims to provide two lakh government jobs to the youth and offer monthly allowances to unemployed individuals.
